Nurture the Joy Within
A three-day yoga retreat in the heart of the West of Ireland
June 12th–14th at Common Knowledge, County Clare
A yoga and creative retreat taking place at the height of summer, as we approach the Summer Solstice on the west coast of Ireland.
“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”
— Rumi
What brings you joy?
Many of us have a creative niggle, or a dream that needs encouragement. I believe everyone is creative — every being. This retreat is about taking a weekend to practise nourishing yoga, explore your creativity, and reconnect with yourself and nature in the beauty of County Clare.
Life can be busy. It can be hard to find the time to nurture that inner spark — the part of you that makes your soul sing. Maybe it’s a creative urge or a dream waiting to emerge. Or maybe it’s simply taking a weekend to have fun, feel good in your body, and celebrate Summer.
Joy is being rooted in the present moment, living with an open heart and mind, and practising loving-kindness towards yourself and others. Each morning will begin with a loving-kindness meditation, followed by a heart-centred Vinyasa practice led by Dearbhla.
Over the three days, there will be two creative workshops, a summer hedgerow foraging walk, mandala making, a fire ceremony, sea swimming, and a sound bath. There will also be plenty of time to rest, book a massage or sauna, or curl up and read your book.
You’ll be nourished with delicious, seasonal vegetarian food from County Clare
Four extremely talented artists will be joining us, including an inspiring herbalist and a mesmerising singer and sound healer. I am honoured to have this wonderful team. Together, we want to create something truly special for you.
The news from our world can feel heavy these days. It feels more important than ever to nurture the light within and reconnect with the joy that lives inside each of us. And to recognise that light and joy in the world around us and in the people around us. This is where happiness lies.
