“The retreat at Son Rullan was beyond amazing - all I’d dreamed of and more besides. On the first day, Dearbhla’s warm and smiling welcome set the tone which continued for the duration of the retreat. Everyone relaxed and bonded over divine yoga, meditations, glorious food and lots of hikes, chats and chill-time. Every detail was thought of as Son Rullan worked its magic, and for those precious days the busyness of real life released its grip. I can’t wait to return”- Judy, 2025.
I’m very excited to be returning to the serenity and magic of Son Rullon. The 14th century templar monastery is quite simply one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to and a perfect place to hold a yoga retreat.
The views are spectacular and there is a deep sense of peace and tranquility. There is a great opportunity to drop deep within, shed the layers of day to day life and take time to come home to yourself. This retreat is all about taking time out, connecting to nature, time to rest, to practice yoga and to nourish yourself deeply.
We will practice yoga and meditation every morning and evening. There is a rambling, lush, overgrown garden which leads down to the pool where there are plenty of sunbeds, nooks and corners to sit and be alone or choose to be with others whilst over looking the stunning views of the mountains, olive trees and the sea.
For those who want to partake there will be two energising hikes, one down to the sea for a swim and one up over the mountain top. Both hikes are optional you might prefer to relax by the pool, or have a massage and feel the tension melt away.
there are plenty of walks through the ancient olive trees, you can also walk down to Deia, it is a 40 minute mountain path down to the village and a 60 minute walk back up.
In the afternoons there will be time for you to relax, read, swim, lie by the pool or visit the beautiful village of Deia. In October day time temperature is lovely, sunny and warm, The monastery is nestled into the Tramuntana mountains so for those who want to we hike up and across a mountain top with our fantastic mountain guide. On another day we walk down to the sea for a swim or a snorkel.
There is always an option of going for a mindful walk into the forests or around the olive trees, having a chat with a baby lamb, watching the light. Taking some time to connect with nature on your own in your own gentle way.
